Workshops
During the north London Love Food Hate Waste campaign in late 2009 and early 2010, we worked with the Community Kitchen Project (part of Manor Gardens Welfare Trust) to deliver 11 free kitchen workshops to north London residents.
The team at The Community Kitchen Project provided practical information and advice on portion sizes, food storage and safety, and how to make the most of your fridge and freezer.
Participants discussed ways to use leftovers and lots of great tips and recipes were shared. At the end of each workshop, participants had the opportunity to cook together and enjoy a dish that used leftovers. We hope everyone who came along is now saving money by reducing their food waste!
"The workshop was very practical and hands-on, not just theory. It was helpful to learn together as a group."
Brenda Loates, Islington workshop participant.
